Announcing the winner of the 2020 Liturgy Alive! composition contest:

First Place ($2,000 prize):
"Lauda Anima Mea Dominum" for three-part women’s choir and organ by Joseph Fong


Joseph Fong resides in New York where he composes on an amateur basis. He was first introduced to sacred and secular choral music in his native Hong Kong as an accompanist for choral performances and Catholic Masses. Joseph studied piano with Gabriel Kwok and holds a Licentiate certificate in Piano Performance from Trinity College London. He studied music composition with Jonathan Berger at Yale University, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He is married with three daughters.
